Yes, TGIT. T for Thursday.
My new work schedule is Sunday through Thursday. Now, don't think OH NO is she insane! Well, yeah I am but it's not because I chose my new work schedule, I'm just insane. :) I chose to work Sundays because I can go in for hours after Church. Works for me as I usually just waste the afternoon away anyway. So, now TGI-F is the new TGI-T as I will have off Fridays and Saturdays.
Why the new work schedule? I decided that being a supervisor wasn't all it should have been for me. I am now a residential nurse for one of the residences I used to cover in Brooklyn. It's not that far from the VZ bridge and thankfully doesn't have any good food places to order breakfast or lunch from. That's key because I am on a diet as of NOW. Yeah, again, what else is new.
Anyone see the new Wii sports fitness thingy, thingy cause I have no clue what to call it, EA Active?
Check out the video above to see what it's like if you haven't heard of it before. I did one of the preset workouts two days ago and it kicked me @$$!! The new office I am in is a large room with 4 people in it. We each have our own desk and I've realized that it's too quiet in the room. There is no background noise. When we are all doing our work all you hear is possibly one of us typing on a keyboard. Well, not me I don't have a computer yet. Yeah, I know,, I'm DYING that I can't type away and do my work, I have to hand write reports until I get one. Well, unless someone is willing to give up their desk for awhile. So anyway, the quiet sound, or lack there of..... today I decided to put my blackberry to it's mp3 playing use and play music on it to get rid of the silence. Turns out the two other women in the office were like, YAY, music! They even liked what I was playing. Country, Rock, Alternative, Pop. I have a set of computer speakers that I am going to take to work with my iPod. No more silence.
Off to watch some Country music celebration thing on CBS while trying to figure out what I'm eating tomorrow for breakfast and lunch. Like I said, new diet. One I've never tried before. Aloha folks!

trip report that is,,, while quickies have there place and all......
:)
So, after not sleeping much, Lex drove me to the airport and I met Rose, Terminal A. We checked in with the skycap (love that option) and proceeded to security. Why is it that it's always stand, move a little, stand, move a little, but then when you finally get to the conveyor belt it's, hurry hurry hurry. Our flight left on time and landed on time. Orlando airport is easy enough to navigate and we waited on line for about a half hour to pick up our rental car. For those that I didn't txt that day to say,"OH MY GOODNESS look what I'm driving!"
Here's a photo:
I usually hate driving cars that are not my own, makes me nervous. You know steering and brakes feel different. But, this car was a breeze to drive. Didn't feel much different than my little red Vibe. This pic was taken with my BB Curve, never got to take a pic with the regular digital so am happy this one is decent.
Our hotel was a quick ride from the airport and we parked and grabbed out luggage out of the trunk to hurry to see what the Hotel even looked like. You can't see it from the road. It's hidden through all the strategically placed plants, trees and flower bushes. What I could see from the driveway was this:
Yeah, ok,, a building and lots of foliage. Let me tell you this is about 1/5 of the building, it's HUGE.
So then at the top of the driveway was this:
That's actually looking back to the driveway instead of towards the lobby.
The lobby is actually the 3rd floor of the Resort because when you look left and right when walking this bridge this is your view:
This Resort is located right next to I-4 and next to Island of Adventure at Universal, from this vantage point you would never know it. It's tranquil and quiet with a waterfall directly under this bridge (which I never got to take a picture of) so all you hear is water flowing. Occasionally in the background you could hear screams from one of the rides at Universal. But most of the time you would hear nothing.
Here are some room shots:
My bed,, it was super comfy and a king.
A really comfy cozy chair that Rose sat in most of the time when we were hangin in my room:
And the much need coffee maker and HDTV:
There was a mini bar in the middle spot of that dresser but they kept it locked. Not that I would have paid $4 for a can of soda or $7 for a large bottle of water but hey was just curious to see what else was in there.
In the middle of the lobby was this outdoor garden, it was beautiful:
There were lots of statues and things that I took pictures of, plus more flowers but you get the idea. I am planning on making a mini scrapbook for both Rose and I so you will probably see more pictures then.
You know me and my macro shots, I loved this lamp in my room and wish I could have figured out where to purchase one. Love it!
Have I mentioned the pool? Ahhhh the pool. It was huge.
We spent a few evenings here:
And the drinks, we had many:
Pomegranate margaritas: Two pics,,, two different margaritas (actually had about 4 of these during the trip.
Then there was my favorite drink of the the trip,,, the Blue Hawaii. No idea what was in it but had a few sittin out at the pool:
There was the night we realized that our table at Margaritaville looked like this:
I'm guessing we didn't want to get dehydrated. :)
And there was the evening I got dirty,,, a Dirty Martini that is:
It was deeee-lish.
Took this picture through a Pomegranate Margarita fog,,, go figure,, I like it,,even sober.
There was the much appreciated complimentary coffee maker in the room which was awesome! Made a cup of coffee in 3 minutes.
It's silly how it's actually fun to use. Pop the little coffee thingy in the top no coffee to open or measure at all, pour in the water and press brew. Done. Come to think of it, I never took the little coffee thing out of it each day, guess the maid did. Hmm, cool beans.
But of course a highlight of my trip was seeing this face, even in a goofy hat at a store in Universal Citywalk:
That's Dina. We worked together for years at UCP and now she lives in Daytona. Sniff sniff. I hadn't seen her since September. Seeing her for one evening made me miss her and her hubby Michael even more! They surprised me by bringing another ex-UCP'er with them as well. I forget how long Roberto has been living down there but it was great to see them all and I seriously regret that this is the one and only photo I took that whole night!
So that's my quick trip report which took me about a half hour to write, not so quick but hey, I finally got it done!!
Love to all,,, XOXO

So, I'm still slacking on reporting about my Florida trip to you all. Too bad. I haven't checked my visitors report so I would not be surprised if no one has even visited in weeks and weeks. I have proofed some of the photos and am working on it in my head, what I want to write, in what order, about my job, etc. I'll get to that either later tonight or tomorrow. Yeah, I know I said that yesterday. Am doing some outlets shopping today. Figured I might as well since it's a 3 day weekend and I have the money now to do it.
Did I blog about this Natasha Bedingfield song before? It's beautiful. Heard it on the radio one day in the car, just a part of it and it was like, WOW that's what I think! Here are some of the lyrics:

That's how many sleeps I have until I am in Florida away from work.
WOOHOO!!!!!!
I only did a little bit of all I wanted to do the last three days. I got a haircut, went to Church and Bible Study, went to Ikea (needed candles and I love theirs), went shopping at Kohls, ate at Olive Garden (yum-o for their breadsticks and salad) and signed off on the all the dozens of pages of paperwork for the refinancing of my mortgage. There was quite a bit more on the list. Many of it had to do with scrapping, editing photos and organizing more of my Mom's photos. Little by little it will all get done.
Off to do some reading and relaxing before sleep. Work tomorrow. UGH. :)

TGIF,,, can I say that again?
TGIF
I am already enjoying an icy cold adult beverage and getting ready for number 2. Off I go to enjoy my weekend. I HATE that fact that there are 4 workdays between me and my flight to Florida. :(
OOOHhh,, wait I'm off Monday,, HAAAA! 3 days,, 1,2,3. Have an appt with a lawyer in Jersey,, no biggie,, just refinancing the house to a better rate so I have to go sign some papers.
I am off to enjoy the next 3 days,, heeheehee. yay! Scrapbook cause it's supposed to be crappy weather all weekend, hopefully get some more sorting of my Mom's photos done.
Did I mention here that I was able to purchase two tickets to see the boys in June. What boys,, Flatts! I haven't talked about them on my blog in FOREVER. I was able to buy two advance tickets even before the Citicard presale. I have even already paid for my parking for the night. It's at PNC Bank Arts Center in Jersey. At least I don't have to wait too long until the show.
I know the majority,, all right ALL of you that read this hate Country music,, but too bad cause I LOVE these guys,, this will be my 5th time (I believe) seeing them,, it's been too long. And it will be the first time I am seeing them sans the X. Hmm I have to figure out when I saw them and do a scrap page. Why haven't I done that before? I've done it for the Ricky obsession. Yet another scrap assignment for myself.
Alright time to watch a dvr'd show with Lex and then Dollhouse at 9pm. Off to crack open adult beverage #2. It's calling my name.
