Just blogging about right now. Stole the idea from a scrapbooking blog. Ya know, scrapbooking, that thing I haven't done in forever. This was a little while ago. Was surfing blogs, balancing the checkbook, reading some magazines, going through mail and watching tv. Yep, multitasking at it's best. Which really means that the only thing I got totally done was balancing the checkbook and went through the pile of mail while finishing off the little bag of pretzels.
Still have 3 magazines to read through, a few books on my Kindle to read and Season 1 of Burn Notice. I already ate dinner, am now relaxing and going to sit with Grace,, oh yeah,, see Grace in the photo? She sits like this all the time while I am hanging out in my room. Good girl that kitty.
Tired surfing the net for pictures from last nights concert but apparently people haven't uploaded any of their pictures to flickr or other types of sites like that yet. That will teach me to not take my camera with me. Only good picture I got was the one I posted on Facebook. The rest are al wonky cause of the lighting there. Later all. xoxoxo

Well, my dad's responsible for what I got goin on as well. I have to acknowledge the paternal parental unit as today is Father's Day. It will be 18 years since we lost him. Sept 9, 1991. A lifetime ago.
Today, I don't know why but it was a very difficult morning for me. I got up thinking about my dad and while that isn't all that different than a lot of days. I was remembering that it was Father's Day and there was no Dad to buy a card for or to call up on the phone and say,"I love you!" I welled up in tears and I had to tell my self to suck it up and finish getting ready for church and work. Church didn't help though. Several things said during service got me welled up in tears all over again and I was crying before the first hymn even started. Deb's sister tried to make me laugh by saying that she's sorry her singing made me cry, I giggled for a second and was able to pull it together. After service I wished Deb's dad a Happy Fathers Day gave him a big hug and went off to work. Work was a good distraction today. I had a brief conversation with a fellow conversation about today being Father's Day. It's the 2nd Father's Day she is without her Dad. We both acknowledged how we wished the day had passed without us really concentrating on what we didn't have but hey it's life right and you have to take what it gives you, the good AND the bad.
So shaking what my Momma and Daddy gave me,,,, I worked out for an hour tonight. Not really shaking,, more like cursing the Wii thingy for all the squats I had to do. I love the running, which is really cardio walking for me. No running or jumping,, too hard on the joints. My back can't take it. After that hour I turned on the Wii Fit game and took the body test to see where I am at in comparison to where I was 9 days ago when I was on it. I've lost 3.5 lbs in 9 days and went down almost an entire BMI point. Yay me! My total weight loss to date is 16 lbs. I have 4 more workouts,, wait maybe 3 more workouts until my 30 day challenge is over. Well, the first one. Remember this is the 30 day challenge set to EASY. Next up, the 30 day challenge set to MEDIUM. I created a few custom workouts and I usually do 1 of those after the nights Challenge workout. Just to basically get more cardio in.
Time to read, sync my phone, iPod and Kindle (i know,, i know,, me and my gadgets), watch an episode of Burn Notice (got season 1 on DVD to check out) and then sleep.

With this man
Yowza, this man is adorable and can he sing. Damn, but he can. I don't care what anyone says about him sounding like other crooners. I LOVE to hear him sing.
This is my favorite song of his, it's the first song I believe that I had heard. Its just a feel good song and well, hey it makes a single gal have hope. Hope that somewhere there is a guy hoping he will think these things about a gal someday.
I'm spending some time tonight while scrapping and relaxing watching his new DVD that was filmed at MSG. It was the last show on a two year tour. I am going to simply stalk the internet now for news of new music and another tour. And hey, he's awesome (LMAO). He just said in an interview on this DVD,"and as a famous philospher once said, there is no try there is do or do not, (he pauses slightly and goes on) that was Yoda". He then smiles and laughs. Come on,, you know sci fi geek girl in me was loving that.
Time to go rewind the DVD and catch some things I've missed cause I was too busy typing this. Oh wait, diet - yup going strong. Exercise - yep, going well, too. Weight loss - yep, 16 lbs now. woohoo! Like I said before couldn't recommend EA Sports Active anymore than I already have. It's awesome having a personal trainer right at the end of a Wii remote.

So, good things always come to an end. The End of the Chip Clip. Yes, with sweet sorrow I am saying goodbye to the Chip Clip. {sniff sniff}
Now, you may think that it's because I'm on a diet but NOOOO like I said in my last post. I'm still living for my crunchy snacks. Sun Chips Harvest Cheddar are my friend. Baked Cheetos are as well. Plus I saw a commercial today for a new Baked Lay's in a Southwestern Ranch flavor. Will definitely have to check those out. So, I'm not saying goodbye to Chip Clip because I'm saying goodbye to my crunchy salty friends,, NOOOO. I'm saying goodbye because I found this video on the Unclutterer blog that I read. It's a way to close the chip bag without using a clip, clothes pin or even tape. Havent tried it yet but it looks easy.
So, off to read more blogs while watching Emeril Green on the Planet Green channel. Why is it when I diet I watch more cooking shows than when I don't diet. Good thing his Emeril Green show is actually healthier recipes than you see on his regular show on the Food Network channel.

So two weeks into my new diet I am going strong. Had a hiccup in the workout routine. Had to take 2 days off instead of the usual 1 because of some back pain. I went to the chiropractor on Monday and her orders were no jumping exercises and at least one day off. I had to food shop last night so I took 2 days off.
Worked out again tonight and am glad I got right back into it. I did however uncheck the little box next to Lunge jumping on the EA Active workout. Don't want to have any back problems. I have tightness in the back of my left leg running up my back. It's the same as usual back problems I've had in the past. Thankfully no where near as painful.
Where does the snack part come into this blog post?
I bought one of those lunch bag multi packs at the supermarket last week and finally got around to trying all of the varieties that came in it. Baked Doritos, Bakes Cheetos, Sun Chips, and Baked Lays. All very yummy, but I do believe the Sun Chips and the Baked Cheetos are my favorites. Highly recommended.
Off to watch Caprica. Finally got around to ordering it from Amazon. Yay, I just realized that tomorrow is my Friday. WooHoo!

Yet again, I've given in to my geek side (Thanks Dad!) and purchased yet another gadget. I am anxiously waiting for The Kindle to arrive on my doorstep. I also discovered that my old iPhone which I will from here on out refer to as the XPhone, which is now basically an iPod touch has a free application called the Kindle reader. That means that anything I put on my Kindle will be available to be read on the XPhone. While the Kindle is thin and portable I really am not purchasing it strictly for its portability. I am purchasing it to sve me from the stacks and stacks of books I end up with. While I love the feel of a real actual book in my hands (think I have blogged about that before) I don't like clutter. Piles of books equal clutter. If I had a room that I could simply call my library, sure, absolutely, I'd have stacks and stacks AND have a Kindle anyway. :)
So, what's the compressor and serpetine belt in the title for. I woke up today, my day off and knew I had to get out of bed to take my car and have the air conditioning looked at. It has not worked well. It was really bad last year, had it looked at, guy said he fixed it and while it did work alright last year, when I went to use it one hot day in April it didn't work. $500 and one compressor later, it was also decided that I needed a new serpetine belt. The belt that was in the car was getting cracks in it and figured while they had it out anyway to put the compressor in it was a good idea to replace it. They didn't charge me labor on that item and no tax. Now to just work on saving up money for new tires. Think I'm needing those next.
The gang here in the house were all down in the family room today playing with my EA Active Exer-game (discovered that term while reading reviews about it earlier today). Lex liked it so much we are going to purchase and extra leg strap and stretchy band so that more than one person can workout at a time. We might purchase two extra so that we can set up one to be Jay's size. The boy is so skinny it's sad. The leg strap that I wrap around my thigh can fit around his waist! Luckily, I know that my thigh is not large and don't get depressed thinking that my thigh is the size of his waist. He's just ridiculously thin. Poor little underweight kid. He played the WiiFit after and we discovered that he gained a pound and a half and is now in the healthy weight range for the WiiFit. Go Jay! Go Jay!
I lost weight this past week on my new diet and exercise program. I have also noticed that my clothes fit better, I can take the stairs faster at work and I have more energy, period. I know that it will take many months to get to where I want, but I know I'm getting there.
Time to go watch another movie. Rented three tonight.
New In Town
Revoltionary Road
Personal Effects
Have a good weekend folks!

I KNEW I liked Jacob in book 2!!! Especially at the 1 minute and 26 seconds in the trailer.
5 months to wait, oh boy, I think a countdown is coming this way.
Hmmm that reminds me I still owe my cousin Lorna a present for her daughter. Dang it, it's over been 7 months since she asked. I really need to get on that huh? :)

So, basically I am spending tons of time getting to know my little Sims-like trainer on the EA Active fitness "game" for the Wii. She and I have been in sync for almost a week now. I like it. I like it a lot. I LOVE that I can do the 30 day challenge AND can also do many other preset workouts. But, I LOVE LOVE that I can make my own custom workouts with my favorite exercises. Flab and fat be warned,,, I'm getting rid of you! Kicking you to the curb.
I've started a diet, yet again. A new one. One that I haven't tried before. Figured that I needed to breathe a breath of fresh air into my weight loss mojo. So far, it's working. I'm liking it (the diet), too. Not ready to share all the details, maybe I will, eventually. Or maybe I won't. Not sure, haven't made up my mind.
Know what I watched earlier while talking to Anne on the phone and texting Dina back and forth? An ABBA bipgraphy on TV. LOVED IT. I've once again come to the realization that my Dad had a HUGE influence on my music preferences. I have basically always love many types of music and to this day, that remains true. My Dad same thing. He could listen to Elvis one minute then ABBA, then Culture Club (I kid you not!). Now, I can honestly say you won't find Culture Club on my iPod, but you will find Elvis, ABBA and gulp, yes, even Brittany Spears' Womanizer. It's annoyingly catchy. Played it at my desk today in the office and several of the women in the office were like,"wow, damn catchy tune,, we hate it but we all know it!"
Time to go watch the end of the Queen biography on TV. I've missed the last 45 minutes while surfing the net and typing this. Aloha! Love to all!
